The students that we finance education for currently attend schools in either Kathmandu or in Namche Bazaar. Those students attending college or university do so, primarily, in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Valley Higher Secondary School
Kathmandu Valley Higher Secondary School, is a co-educational school which provides high quality education to its students. Since its inception over 25 years ago, Kathmandu Valley Higher Secondary School has laid the foundation for an exciting and educationally challenging experience for students. The school continues to strive to provide opportunities that encourage, challenge and nurture children and help them achieve to the best of their abilities.
The students live in a dormitory setting on the campus of the school and study a variety of subject areas, including language, literature, math, science, social studies, accounting, and economics.
Namche Basic School
The Namche Basic School (formerly Shree Himalaya Primary School) is a public, community driven school located in the heart of Namche Bazaar that intends to provide a great education for its students in a setting that is not far from the villages that the students families reside in. The school continues to attract better teachers and resources all the time and accordingly education at the school has improved tremendously over the years.
In 2017 the school, with the support of the local community, was able to expand the grades it could offer education for and now its students can attend all the way through from Nursery to Grade 10.
Again the students live in a dormitory setting, primarily at the Home Away From Home hostel. At school they study a broad range of subjects, including english , maths, nepali, creative arts, science and social studies. The hostel additionally aims to pass on the native Sherpa language and culture to the children.
Young Hearts Boarding High School
The Young Heart Boarding High School opened in 1991 and aims develop every child physically, mentally and spiritually through modern methods by selection of qualified and experienced teachers who come from well-established English intermediate schools and by providing a multitude of extra-curricular activities.
